Fun Nights & 2nd Saturdays

Fun nights are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month and Second Saturdays are held on the second saturday of the month. These sewing technique sessions are taught by a guild member or professional quilting teacher and are open to both members and the general public. Some of our pastfun classes have included paper piecing, Norwegian chickens, chenille, stack-n-slash quilts, patchwork bags, hand quilting, and fabric dyeing with shaving cream- just to name a few! Please check our photo galleries as the year progresses to see what we've been up to!

In addition to bringing basic sewing supplies as noted for each class (sewing machine, thread, scissors, etc.) we often offer a class kit for a very small fee. If you would like to attend a Fun Night or Second Saturday class - please take a moment to fill out our quick RSVP form below so we can reserve a space and kit just for you! Check the Events Calendar for location and details.

Come to this Second Saturday  and learn how to quilt in a small scale. You will be able to start making your own unique miniature sampler quilt during this session. You can have as few as four or as many as twelve 3” blocks in your quilt. You probably won’t need to buy any fabric for your quilt since this miniature sampler lends itself to a scrappy look (either traditional or contemporary fabric—your choice), and each block takes such a small amount of fabric. Pam will share many tips for successfully making miniature quilts with you. Even if you don’t want to make miniature quilts in the future, you can learn techniques for precision piecing which are useful in many larger quilts. This Second Saturday will accommodate all skill levels—from members who have never attempted a miniature to those who have lots of experience with miniatures but are open to learning something new.

Supply List on the website. Please RSVP below if you plan to attend.
