Each year the guild selects a theme and members have several months to complete a quilt that meets the challenge requirements. The Challenge quilts during an odd numbered year are displayed at one of the monthly meetings, and the members present vote for their favorite. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes are awarded. The Challenge quilts for the even numbered year are displayed at the biennial quilt show in the Challenge Category, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes awarded based on viewer’s choice ballots cast during the show. |

2011 Challenge: My Favorite Things

- Your initials had to be incorporated into the design in some way.
- There had to be at least one non-fabric item. (Buttons,beads, charms, found objects, paint, foil, etc.) It can be as many as you want.
- It had to have at least two layers and be held together by stitching in some way.
- It must be no smaller than 18 x 18 or larger than 30 x 30. (Or an equivalent total min 36" - max 60" total of the two sides.)
- The Challenge must be turned in at the August meeting.
